Apple Watch hours tracker
Your phone is in a locker, in a bag, or in your apron. Your wrist is always there. Shiftly lets you track shifts from Apple Watch, so starting your shift doesn't depend on getting your phone out. This page explains what that includes, what it requires, and what it costs.
What you get on the wrist
- Track your shifts from the Apple Watch app, without reaching for your iPhone
- Everything you track lands in the same shift history as the iPhone app, with the same hours and earnings estimates
- On your iPhone, Live Activities keep the active shift visible on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island
The wrist is for starting and following shifts. Setting up jobs and rates, recording tips, reviewing Insights, and exporting happen in the iPhone app.
Requirements and pricing
- Apple Watch with watchOS 11.0 or later
- iPhone with iOS 18.6 or later
- Apple Watch tracking is a Shiftly Pro feature: $4.99/month or $29.99/year (US App Store prices)
- Live Activities on iPhone do not require Pro
Pro also includes unlimited jobs, recurring schedules, automatic overtime rules, and PDF, CSV, or Excel export. The full split is on the free vs. Pro page.
Who this is for
Nurses and healthcare staff who can't carry a phone on the floor. Servers and baristas whose phone stays in the back. Warehouse and security workers with their hands full at the start of a shift. If the hard part of tracking hours has been remembering to open the app, moving the clock-in to your wrist is the fix.
Before you subscribe
Try the free iPhone app first. If one-tap clock in on the phone already works for your day, you may not need the watch. If you keep missing clock-ins because the phone is out of reach, Pro is the upgrade that solves it. Subscriptions are billed through Apple and managed in iPhone Settings, so cancelling is straightforward.
